Carefully Chosen PS Network Games
GDC again. This time it's John Hight, Head of Product Development for the Playstation Network. In his opinion it's better that the Playstation Network has few, but 'careful chosen' and so high quality PSN games. Asked about user created games he said that Sony believes in user created content but that they think about it as a service and want to give the people the tools to make good games. But he himself didn't know when that is to happen. He also compared Microsoft's XNA to a sledgehammer. Guess he was a little upset about Microsoft's announciation to give people the ability to upload their self made games.
