360 Will Propably Get A Natal Hardware Upgrade
Just read an interesting article on 1Up. It is saying that next fall we propably will see the launch of a new Xbox. Not a whole new Xbox in comparison to the one you are playing on, but an upgraded version that comes bundled with Microsoft's Project Natal. It is likely, that it will have improved tech in it, but of course you will be able to play your 360 games on it. Likely is that it will be a redesign and propably have Natal integrated in some way.
So basically a product is getting new features and will be relaunched and rebranded. Like Nintendo did it with the DS and the DSi (or as sharp tongues could say like with the Gamecube and the Wii).
Will this be the end of console generation cycles? Sony already stated that they want the PS3 to be 10 years relevant, Nintendo will bring a Wii HD in a few years, which will propably be downwards compatible and Microsoft does upgrades and rebrandings. Industry analyst Michael Pachter said in the last Bonus Round that there will be no more next generations and it seems has right again. At least not in the next 5 years if you ask me.
So what do you think? Are you happy that the consoles are supported so long and slowly get muscled up or do you wish yourself back in the 90s with clear transitions like SNES to N64?
