Not Your Average DS Game

I would've fun playing this. As the name says: It's straight for the C.O.R.E!

Super Street Fighter II HD Remix Soundtrack Download

I bet you love the remixed soundtrack of Super Street Fighter II HD Remix as much as I do. I have good news for you then. Check out the Overclocked Remix homepage. It's a fan community and they did this awesome new soundtrack. And, thank god, you can download it there!

I Just Saw Max Payne

I decided to go to the cinema and watch the Max Payne movie. I played both videogames (I finished Max Payne 2 in one night) and with Mark Wahlberg as Max Payne I thought nothing could go wrong. Kind of. It was an interesting movie but as far as I remember it had not much in common with the games. Where was Baseball Bat Boy for example? The movie was a new interpretation of the game's story line. I've seen worse games-to-movie-movies (Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat) and I've seen better (Silent Hill). It was okay.
And besides Wahlberg there were some familiar faces - Natasha Sax (I doubt there is even a Natasha Sax in the game) is played by the latest Bond girl (Olga Kurylenko) and for those Prison Break fans of you, Sucre (Amaury Nolasco) plays one of the movie's villians.

AVGN CDi Special

This time the nerd goes CDi. And he will play all bad Zelda games!

GT Left 4 Dead Review

I'd like to play that one. Valve still stads for high gameplay standards.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix

One of the best fighting games is available in an exciting new version. For Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix all sprites have been painted completely new to update this game in a unique Next Gen version.
1Up gave an A+. Deserves it.

Street Fighter IV Comes In February

Finally, the release date. 17th February in US/Asia and 20th February in Europe. I just can't wait for this game. Street Fighter IV so cool, I played it at LGC and it's about to become the best fighter this generation. Screw you, Soul Calibur!

Ouch, GT Gives New Banjo 6.7

They hate it.

Well, 1Up liked it and I am not sure about what this game really is like. I'll rent first. Let's see what Gamerankings has to offer:
Average score on Gamerankings is 79%. That's below expectations, but I will try it and see if I like it.

Warcraft Retrospective

Yet another of those fascinating documetaries about videogame history. This time GT's retrospective is about the universe of Warcraft, Blizzard's Fantasy RTS influenced by Tolkien. Most of you will propably have played one of the Warcraft games or certainly at least have heard of the phenomenon. I remember having played Warcraft 2 on the Sega Saturn. That game was fun. And I loved Warcraft 3 for it's brilliant story and those awesome cutscenes. Though I've always been bad at WC3 multiplayer.
Anyway, be sure to check this out:

Console RTS Battle

So, who's gonna win? Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 or newcomer Tom Clancy's Endwar?

So, based on GT Endwar is the winner. But let's have a look at Gamerankings.

Tom Clancy's Endwar
gets an average ratio of 81%.
Command & Conquer 3 Red Alert 3 has an average ration of 76%.

My advise: If you care much about an entertaining story then get Red Alert 3. Storywise weak, but Tom Clancy games usually stand for good Gameplay. Your choice.

The 2008 Election NES Game

Super Obama World. That's awesome! I'd like to see a 360 version of it.

Found A New YouTube ROFL Series

Perhaps not really new, but I didn't know it. Remember, we're living in times of web 2.0 and there are trillions of videogame based sites out there. This series named Awesome Video Games is very funny, seems like a parody of early 90's gaming advertisments in the TV. Ace and Chet play awesome NES games and they feel the gameplay!

Check out their YouTube channel and don't forget to subscribe!

Gears, Baby!!

Hell fucking YEAH!!1 My copy of Gears 2 arrived this weekend. Until now I just tried the multiplayer, but I have no doubts that the single player will be epic as we know it from Epic! And here's what I think:

Horde:
In this mode you 5 players fight cooperatively against waves of the locust horde. With every wave the horde is becoming bigger, stronger and healthier. Team play is essential for survival! Action packed and shooting fun at videogaming's best!

Meat Flag
:
Gears version of capture the flag. In Meat Flag there is a confused civilist running and shooting around on the map and your mission is to catch him and drag him to your base. I don't need to tell you that the other team has exactly the same goal, so be prepared for chainsaw duels and a high body count.

Annex:
Good old Annex which evolved Gears 1 multiplayer to being even more fun. In this mode you need to conquer a certain area and hold it till all the points have been added to your team's score. Somewhat like Domination known from the big brother Unreal Tournament.

Wingman:
Now this is fun. There are up to five teams of two players fighting each other. Last team standing wins it all! Cooperative team play is key to victory in this tactic mode.

Gears 2 Reviews

Gears 2 - My number 1 game of this fall.

1Up gives an A!

Thank You, America!

For not electing that dumbfuck John McCain as president.

Read this 1Up special about what Obama means for videogames.

1Up gives Banjo Kazooie an A-

This goes out to all you haters that don't like my Top Ten.
The combination of a surprisingly lengthy single-player game and a robust multiplayer mode make this one game that just about anyone can enjoy. While the challenges get a little repetitive, the ability to create and operate custom vehicles -- both online and off -- make Nuts & Bolts a unique, entertaining spin on the everyday platformer.

I'm Through The Dead Space

This morning I finished Dead Space. It took me about 10 hours, which is really short. But those ten hours were packed so full with action and thrill that they felt like 15. I am still very happy to have bought this game. It was an awesome experience. The best game I've played this year since GTA IV. Now I have unlocked a new uniform and some creditpoints. I will definitely play this game a second time, there are more weapons to be tried out and to be boosted up and it is so much fun to kill the alien monsters limb by linb. The graphics are awesome and run always smooth and and the sound is so scary.
But next thing I'll be playing is Gears 2. Already waiting for me at home.

Buy it! from Screwattack:

Having No Internet Sux

It sucks. Not having Internet is fucked up. On the 20th November I'll be fully online again.
