Guesses About The Next Gen

Is it really this late already? Next Gen became current gen with the 360 getting 3 years in november. And when there is a current gen, there's always a Next Gen in the backhand, right? So the circle moves on. Guesses about the Next Gen come from the GT Bonus Round, my favorite talk show. Geoff Keighly talks with Pachter, the guesser number 1, Dan Hsu from 1Up and one very special guest, One of the Xbox Team. The Xbox Team that created this whole thing. So you better listen good to what he says, cause even when he jumped off the boat recently he has the experience and farsight only masterminds have.
So, enjoy!

GTA IV Breaks 10 Millions

'Grand Theft Auto IV' the most stunning and exciting Game of the Year 2008 has broken the sales of 10 million units! 1Up writes:

You might have heard that Grand Theft Auto 4 is a popular game. How popular, you wonder? Just ask the ten million people who have purchased GTA4 through August 16.
[...]
Want a little perspective on GTA4's success? Top selling predecessor Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has sold 21.5 million units as of March 2008, meaning that GTA4 is nearly halfway to San Andreas' lifetime sales. With a PC port and additional downloadable content on the horizon, expect GTA4's success to continue.

10 million is pretty good and proving once again that GTA is the blockbuster franchise gaming has to offer. No wonder that TakeTwo and Nintendo plan to collaborate. E3 2008 brought the announciation of 'Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars' and now there are first hints about a GTA on Wii. But not a port of GTAIV which the Wii wouldn't be powerful enough for.
10 Millions in less than half a year... Awesome!

I have Braid And Castle Crashers

I couldn't resist anymore and pleased my gaming addiction with some fresh Microsoft points I used to download the two instant classic Xbox Live Arcade games 'Braid' and 'Castle Crashers'!
So I played 'Castle Crashers' yesterday and today for hours with my brothers and my sister in 4 player coop and we all love this game. 4 player coop freaking rocks the pwn!
I'm gonna play the highest rated XBLA game of all time, read: B-R-A-I-D, as soon as possible.
I'm so positive about those games, I even made a pointless YouTube video underlined with the the new Metallica album 'Death Magnetic' all of you should listen to!

Played Some Demos

I took myself the time to check out some of the new demos out on XBL marketplace.
At first I played 'The Force Unleashed'. Even though the demo has little playtime, I have to say that I definitely liked it. The pacing is great and fast and the power of the force is enourmous. It somehow reminded me of 'God of War' with the main character, Starkiller (what a jerk name) is swinging his sword unbelievable fast. I'd like to see him cutting of stormtrooper body parts but sadly this is a non violent game for everyone. But anyway, it's a game that feels very good and that I have to have, because I'm a big Star Wars fan as well.
The second one I played was the 'Facebreaker' demo. Just hopped in short and didn't like it.
Now let's get it over to the awesome (you can really use this word based on the last releases) Xbox Live Arcade. I played the demo of 'Braid'. What do I say? It's a great game, so called Think'n'Run. Looks like Mario style... Mario finally grew up, you could say and learned to turn back time what leads to interesting puzzles. I love the stunning presentation of simply beautiful aquarel backgrounds in combination with classical music. Certainly the reason I'm going to pick up again some Microsoft points.
And the last demo was 'Castle Crashers' for XBL Arcade. It's a great retro like side scrolling beat 'em up with cartoon knights and lots of humor. Reminds me of those good old days when I played 'Streets of Rage' on my Mega Drive. But here you can upgrade your character like in a RPG. Sounds sweet, right? Yeah.

I Want Braid And Castle Crashers

Wow, Xbox Live Arcade has grown up with damn hot must play titles. I definitely must play two of the latest ones: 'Braid', the Think'n'Run platformer with the beautiful aquarel backgrounds and 'Castle Crashers', the retro beat 'em up RPG sidescroller with lots of parody and humor.
So, now I am searching for cheap MS points. I hope as cheap as my XBL Gold years.
