Being a Resident Evil player since the first game hit the Sony Playstation back in 1996 I've always felt embarrassed and disappointed by the movie adaptions. I've watched the first and the second movie and I wondered how they have nearly nothing to do with the video games' storylines. The only Resident Evil movie I liked was Resident Evil Degeneration, a CGI movie starring Claire and Leon killing zombies and Umbrella monsters. Anyway, RE Afterlive is the latest real life RE movie with Mila Jovowich. And as the bigger movies this times it comes in 3D. If that's really necessary or worth the higher price is any interested person's own decision.
