Well, I'm not in Game Development, but in this video they speak highly of the engine. Whizzle looks fun, by the way. After all, a big part of this generations highest rated games are developed with Unreal Engine 3. Just think about Bioshock, Mass Effect or Epic's own Gears of War.

Even more complex games can be created. I remember that this engine usually costs about 700 000 dollars of license dues. However, I think this UDK will be free for non profit games.
