There's a demo out for Resident Evil 5. If you belong to the bigger part of Xbox owners that doesn't live in Japan then you might have trouble downloading the demo which was released only on the japanese marketplace. Us germans know these IP-location-blockade-shit from trying to download Gears of War DLC, shame! I just found this on Gametrailers forums:

No guarantee from me, but it is worth a try.
So far the demo created different opinions. Most say it is Resident Evil 4 HD. In points of character animation nothing seems to have changed, with enemies hanging in the air and being teleported away after death. Of course I will buy this game for the story alone but gameplaywise it might not be on the same spot as Gears or Dead Space.
Anyways, check those demo footage out and have yourself an own opinion:
